Job Description

Regional School Unit 13 Nutrition Services Director - District Administration Regional School Unit 13 is looking for an enthusiastic leader to join a dynamic team of administrative professionals. The Nutrition Services Director will provide leadership in developing and maintaining the district's food services program with emphasis on providing students with quality meals, leading to the development of good nutritional habits in accordance with the provisions of the National School Lunch Program. Oversee the nutrition program for 6 district schools (Pre-K to 12). Candidates should have a thorough knowledge of food service planning, production, and business management, as well as the ability to maintain accurate production records that conform to federal and state guidelines. Job requirements include but are not limited to; Directs the day-to-day operations of the department - staffing, inventory control, meal production and service, sanitation practices, and other related duties. Makes job assignments and sets priorities. Responsible for recruitment, selection and scheduling of staff. Communicates policies, assists and coaches as needed. Monitors work assignments, provides feedback, evaluates performance and responds as necessary. Maintains records and develops/manages budget and inventory. MDOE Nutrition reporting and claims management. Exceptional organization skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word & Excel. Salary is commensurate with documented experience. This is a full-time, non-aligned year-round position. Qualifications:
Maine Criminal History Background Check Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D Minimum of 3 years' experience with management of food service/restaurant staff Post-secondary education in food and nutrition or related field preferred. Must have successfully completed the ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification immediately upon hiring. Working knowledge of federal and state nutrition guidelines.
