Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. As a key team member, you will lead staff, manage food quality, uphold safety standards, and deliver a memorable experience for our guests. Responsibilities Supervise shift operations, ensuring smooth workflow from food preparation to customer service. Lead and motivate team members, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team. Oversee food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adherence to health regulations. Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate ordering to minimize waste and optimize food costs. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Ensure quick service delivery by coordinating kitchen activities, supervising food production, and maintaining quality standards. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to guarantee guest satisfaction. Assist with shift management tasks including scheduling, labor cost control, and profit & loss analysis. Support staff training initiatives to enhance culinary skills, customer service excellence, and operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervising or managerial experience in hospitality or restaurant settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as PAR POS; cash handling experience is essential. Knowledge of food safety management practices and compliance with health regulations. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and inventory management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage conflict resolution. Experience in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining establishments is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
