Full-Time | Salary Accepting applications through April 3, 2026. Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our team at the New Directions Campus in Livonia. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight to direct care staff while supporting children and families through a trauma-informed, strength-based approach focused on safety, stability, and growth. Responsibilities Role model principles of Trauma Informed Care at all times. Monitor implementation of program policies, procedures, and staff duties. Provide coaching and supervision to Youth Specialists and Sr. Youth Specialists. Oversee daily shift operations and assist staff as needed. Ensure accurate and timely documentation and review reports daily. Manage staffing needs, including call-offs and overtime. Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of staff. Conduct staff evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions. Attend treatment team and quality improvement meetings. Support treatment plans and behavior management strategies. Assist in crisis management and de-escalation. Support scheduling and provide backup as needed. Remain available for after-hours and weekend crises. Promote a positive and professional work environment. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Support resident rights, dignity, and well-being. Coordinate activities, supplies, and facility upkeep. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience in a child caring institution, 2 years of college coursework + 3 years of experience, OR High school diploma + 4 years of experience. High School Diploma is required. Experience in residential or child welfare settings required. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage crises and supervise staff effectively. Commitment to trauma-informed and strength-based care.

Schedule and Compensation Employment Type:

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Schedule:

On-site, includes weekends and after-hours availability.

Shift:

Afternoon Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm)

Pay Rate:

$58,800 per year, based on experience.
