Job Description

As Director of Food and Beverage Operations, you are a leader of our front of the house service staff at Minneapolis Golf Club. Your extraordinary knowledge of food, wine and service standards guides our staff to provide extraordinary service to our membership. You will enjoy working with amazing professionals and redefining the industry with strong enthusiasm, dedication and determination. What you'll do for us: Work directly with the FoodBeverage Team and ensure expectations are being met in all membership dining and service areas. Primary focus on catering, main member dining room in the clubhouse, golf course concessions and pool concessions Hire, train, schedule and supervise servers, bartenders, and concessions staff Purchase and control beverage inventory Assist with food cost control Work with our club staff to create and promote social membership events. Build on current training programs and identify opportunities for enhancing our quality of service.
Who we want:
You are friendly and personable You have strong character and unquestionable work ethics You have a degree in hospitality management or equivalent education and 5+ years experience in the industry. You have solid computer skills specifically with office programs You have the ability to work with and / or learn Point of Sale software You enjoy evaluating service standards and improving things whenever possible You are a good conductor yet you jump into the work load whenever necessary You are eager to develop strong relationships with clients (members) You can come up with ideas and strategies to meet or exceed budgeting guidelines You enjoy coordinating with team members and other managers You are good at organizing, planning and prioritizing work You are a creative thinker Schedule and Pay This is a competitive, salaried position. Rate of pay will depend on experience and professional qualifications current range is $90,000 to $110,000 annually. Minneapolis Golf Club has a demanding work schedule during the golf season. Nights and weekends are a must. In the off season, work hours have more flexibility.
