Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Lead to oversee daily culinary operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a vital member of our hospitality team, you will lead kitchen staff, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and manage the overall food production process. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining efficiency and profitability. Duties Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure high-quality standards. Lead staff training sessions on food safety, proper food handling, and operational procedures to foster a skilled and compliant team. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS. Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth service flow during busy hours while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports. Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in compliance with health department guidelines. Assist in budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and cost control initiatives to optimize restaurant profitability. Experience Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation and cooking. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector. Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking. Prior experience in fine dining or casual dining settings with banquet or catering experience is acceptable but experience in fast paced high volume preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety management, inventory control, and food production processes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop staff effectively. Basic math skills, inventory calculations, and financial analysis; effective managerial communication is essential.
