Job Description

Job Summary:
The Yard Lead is responsible for overseeing vehicle inventory management, ensuring proper labeling, staging, and movement of vehicles in and out of the yard. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect all incoming vehicles into the yard. Properly label all vehicles for accurate tracking and inventory management. Stage vehicles according to their designated destinations. Send out vehicle inventory lists at designated times throughout the shift. Report any vehicle damage to the direct supervisor upon arrival. Coordinate the shipping of vehicles offsite for necessary repairs. Identify, flag, and stage miss-shipped vehicles according to company procedures. Maintain communication with logistics companies regarding vehicle deliveries. Conduct monthly inventory comparisons to ensure accuracy. Track damaged units and process them in accordance with company guidelines. Monitor the status of vehicles and provide accurate reporting of shipped and received units. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient yard while adhering to all safety and driving regulations. Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
Must be able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
