Wentzville is one of the fastest-growing communities in the state. Come grow with us! The Gym & Fitness Attendant's typical duties include performance of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the gymnasium and fitness areas while providing the very best customer service in a friendly atmosphere. They will perform varied duties in the areas including responding to customer needs, ensuring the area is clean and properly stocked and performing other assigned tasks as required. This is a part-time position not to exceed an average of 29 hours per week. This job posting will remain open until filled. Job Qualifications Education, experience and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR. CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certification within 90 days of hire required. No specific level of education is required to be qualified for this position. Prior customer service experience is desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position. Ability to display a positive attitude for all patrons and staff. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and balance professional and personal commitments as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to follow policies and procedure, arrive prepared and on time for work and consistently demonstrate service excellence. Ability to work with others and collaborate. Ability to be effective in oral and written communication. Ability to understand and appreciate human differences including race, ethnicity, ability, religion, age, class, educational level, size and appearance. Ability to assess a situation and make well informed decisions independently. Ability to positively promote the City of Wentzville and the Department to peers/patrons and take initiative to be involved throughout the facility. Ability to provide superior customer services through all interactions. Ability to self-start and execute responsibilities with little or no direct supervision. Regular attendance is a necessary and an essential job duty.
