Job Description

Duties As a Maitre D, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant floor.
Your main duties will include:
  • Ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction
  • Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area
  • Collaborating with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth food production and timely delivery of orders
  • Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests
  • Assisting with inventory control and ordering supplies if needed
  • Training new employees on restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety regulations
  • Managing reservations and coordinating seating arrangements for large parties or events
  • Overseeing cash handling procedures and ensuring accurate financial transactions Skills To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques and culinary trends
  • Excellent inventory control skills to manage stock levels effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills to provide a memorable dining experience
  • Leadership abilities to motivate and guide the front-of-house team
  • Familiarity with kitchen operations to facilitate smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous restaurant management experience is highly desirable

From $18.00 per hour
