Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Cafe Shift Leader, where you will be the heartbeat of our bustling café environment! This dynamic role combines leadership, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and a motivating workplace for staff. As a key player in daily operations, you'll oversee shift activities, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and inspire your team to deliver memorable experiences. Your energy and management skills will drive the success of our café, making every shift smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. Duties Lead and supervise daily café operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to maintain freshness, safety, and presentation standards. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation. Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages or overstocking. Train new staff members on food service procedures, safety protocols, customer service excellence, and POS usage. Monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and growth. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes across all café areas. Skills Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments; fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus. Strong background in supervising staff, training & development, and team management with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Expertise in food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary processes; familiarity with catering or banquet operations is advantageous. Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and transaction accuracy. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest inquiries professionally and efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards, inventory control practices, and food industry regulations. Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality and operational excellence.
