Weekend Shift Monday-Thursday 3PM to 1:30AM plus overtime as assigned Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by following safe work practices, escalating issues, recommending safety improvements, and demonstrating a commitment to safety in all tasks. Collaborate with supervisors to communicate daily goals, assign tasks, and lead team members to maximize daily productivity and minimize downtime. Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions to improve efficiency and safety. Verify that all door panels meet ASSA quality standards before proceeding to shipping. Eliminate and escalate quality issues when it arise. Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures to maintain consistency, quality, safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Train and retrain employees on proper procedures and task execution to maintain performance and quality standards. Eliminate tribal knowledge and promote skill versatility across the team. Escalate people's question, suggestion, concerns to upper managers. Encourage the team to nurture good moral and team-work culture. Serve as backup to the Production Manager during absences, overseeing operations, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring production continuity. Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Manager. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfil the position. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment including CNC/machining. Previous experience of leading team with effective communication skills with a positive and professional attitude. Ability to perform as an individual contributor with high productivity and lead the team at the same time. The ability to lead machine team with comprehensive CNC/machine experience. The ability to use basic hand tools such as nail gun, drills, screws, and a tape measure. The ability work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time. The ability to read and understand layouts, shop orders and process control documents. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook (email), Excel, Word, and Teams Ability to work in the shift: Monday-Thursday 3PM to 1:30AM plus overtime as assigned Physical Demands While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. This is a standing position for with some walking up to 10 hours per day on a concrete factory floor. Frequent use of hand and hand tools to assembly parts. Ability to lift 30 or more pounds both overhead and at waist level. The employee is required to walk, reach with arms and hands. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Exposure to intermediate/loud noise is expected when working in the manufacturing environment. The work environment is climate controlled.
