Responsibilities Prepare food items efficiently and accurately according to established recipes and safety standards, including handling food with care and maintaining sanitation. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Deliver excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing inquiries with enthusiasm. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all areas of the restaurant, including food prep stations, dining areas, and kitchen spaces. Assist in training new team members on food preparation techniques, POS systems, food safety protocols, and customer service expectations. Manage shift operations by coordinating team activities, ensuring timely food delivery, managing inventory levels, and supporting sales goals through effective upselling strategies. Support food safety practices by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times. Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively, demonstrating leadership qualities as a Shift Leader when needed, and promoting teamwork during busy periods. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred; culinary experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Strong skills in food preparation, cashiering, customer service, and food safety protocols. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for upselling opportunities. Experience in restaurant operations or retail environments such as grocery stores or cafes is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude; leadership qualities are desirable for those interested in shift leading roles.
