Job Description

Description Position Summary This role is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within the Slaughter Department. The position ensures production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food‑safety standards. It requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work effectively with both line personnel and plant management. Key Responsibilities Report to the Slaughter Office for order sheets and attend supervisor meetings. Direct employees to meet production volume, quality standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules. Address employee grievances, disputes, or concerns promptly; escalate unresolved issues to Personnel. Participate actively in group meetings and line meetings. Partner with Quality Control to ensure product quality and food‑safety compliance. Train, coach, and develop employees to build management depth and strong teamwork. Monitor machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure proper maintenance and sanitation. Maintain positive employee relations and ensure adherence to labor contract provisions. Communicate regularly with line personnel and plant management. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills Strong team orientation. Effective communication abilities. Strong people‑management skills. Bilingual skills preferred but not required. Working Conditions Hot environment with temperatures around 90+ degrees . Frequent exposure to knives, hot water, and production machinery. Significant physical activity, including walking and stair climbing. Work environment includes slick floors and loud noise.
