RiverMead, a premier not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and senior living community in Peterborough, NH, is seeking an experienced and dependable Culinary Coordinator to help lead our dining services team. In this full-time dining services leadership role, you'll oversee daily dining operations to ensure efficient service, food safety, and operational excellence, all while creating a positive, welcoming experience for residents and guests across our dining venues. You'll supervise and support dining service staff, help coordinate special events, and step in wherever needed to keep meal service running smoothly. What You'll Do As a Culinary Coordinator, you will: Greet and seat residents and guests in all dining venues and at special function Circulate throughout all dining venues during meal periods to respond to questions, address concerns, and ensure an excellent resident experience Supervise and support dining service personnel to ensure proper service techniques, sanitation standards, and operational procedures are consistently followed Maintain knowledge of server-side work responsibilities for each location and assign appropriate side work to all scheduled servers Oversee the closing of dining venues, ensuring side work, cleaning, and station setups are completed properly Implement, manage, and optimize culinary service systems, including processing resident charges, updating daily menu slides, and posting dining announcements Supervise and assist with the setup, service, and breakdown of special functions in coordination with kitchen staff and other departments Step in during peak mealtimes to help with bussing, serving, or other tasks as needed Help ensure all shifts and dining areas are properly staffed by coordinating with other Coordinators and Managers on coverage and scheduling Provide training and orientation for new dining service staff to uphold department standards Maintain knowledge of allergens and ensure all daily menu items are accurately labeled Assist with operational paperwork, check-outs, and menu updates as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable dining service experience, with comprehensive knowledge of service techniques, resident relations, plate presentation, sanitation, food handling, and special functions Basic computer skills, including proficiency with email, internet navigation, and common office software Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work well with individuals of all ages Ability to take oral and written instruction well, write legibly, and work effectively in a team environment Valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record Must be 18 years of age or older, consistent with applicable federal and New Hampshire employment laws Pay and Benefits We believe in taking care of our team members with competitive compensation and an outstanding, comprehensive benefits package, including: Competitive pay, based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees 403(b) retirement savings plan with up to a 6% employer match Employer-paid Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) that begins accruing on day one, with up to 360 hours of rollover $1.50/hour weekend differential (Friday 5:00 PM - Sunday Midnight) Access to RiverMead's on-site Fitness Center and indoor pool Career growth and advancement opportunities Long-term stability with a respected nonprofit organization Supportive and collaborative workplace culture Why Choose RiverMead?
