Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor (Kitchen) to lead our food service operations. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure food safety standards are met, while maintaining efficient kitchen management and food quality.

Perform all duties related to food services for the children and/or program participants receiving meals
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for overseeing day to day kitchen activities. 2. Responsible for preparing and serving meals. 3. Assist with washing dishes as needed. 4. Responsible for local purchases, routine ordering from approved vendors and receipting of food and cleaning supplies related to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). 5. Assist with taking out food carts as needed. 6. Responsible for loading and unloading groceries, food service supplies and equipment, and cleaning supplies and equipment. 7. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation area in accordance with all State and Federal laws. 8. Responsible for maintaining menu record book and generating rotating menus on a timely basis. 9. Document and maintain a daily record of number of children to be served, quantities of foods prepared, foods used, and actual number of children served, as required, in the Child and Adult Care Food Program Menu Record Book. 10. Comply with all applicable Zia Therapy Center, Inc. policies and procedures and CACFP guidelines. 11. Observe all appropriate safety guidelines. 12. Display a professional and positive attitude during the workday, and have the ability to work well with others. 13. Other related duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

None NOTE:
In accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) regulations, anyone identified, suspected or regarded as having a disease that may be transmitted through the handling of food will not be eligible for this position of Food Service Supervisor. Must possess or have the ability to obtain a NM Food Handlers Certificate (required by CACFP).
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience in cooking and serving food.
SKILLS NEEDED
1. Ability to lift, load and unload groceries, food service supplies and equipment, and cleaning supplies and equipment at a weight of at least 50 pounds. 2. Ability to use computer.

Pay:
$20.75 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
