Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Leader Dining Room to oversee daily operations in our vibrant dining environment. This leadership role is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service, smooth food service management, and efficient team coordination. As a key team member, you will inspire staff, uphold food safety standards, and foster a welcoming atmosphere that delights our guests. Your proactive approach and passion for hospitality will drive the success of our dining services during your shift. Joe's Pasta House is a family owned and operated restaurant, we have two locations and proud to be part of the food experience in New Mexico Duties Lead and supervise dining room staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of hospitality. Oversee food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure quality and consistency across all meals served. Manage POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation. Coordinate food and alcohol inventory control. Train new team members on food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and restaurant policies to promote a safe dining environment. Supervise shift operations including managing customer complaints, ensuring timely service, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Manage and coordinate take out orders, phone orders, and deploy people accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience in casual dining and family dining restaurant environments with a strong background in dining room management. Demonstrated supervisory or management experience in hospitality or restaurant settings, including team leadership and staff training. Knowledge of food safety management practices, inventory control, and food production processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate teams through managerial communication and coaching. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining high customer service standards. Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Pay:
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour
