Job Description
Overview Ready to work lakeside! Alexander's on the Lake is looking for a reliable, hardworking senior line cook/kitchen lead to join our team. Located on Findley Lake we are a year-round, full-service bar and restaurant. We specialize in burgers, sandwiches and wings, as well as, our fresh cut fries. We are in search of an experienced candidate who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team focused on consistency and quality. Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment that sees increased volume in the summer. This position is a full-time role supporting kitchen leadership. You will be on the line during service helping to maintain flow, communication and quality. This is not a salaried management position, but requires strong experience, accountability and maturity. Pay is flexible based on experience. Responsibilities Support kitchen leadership in upholding time and quality standards Use recipes to make menu items to proper standards Assists with food order intake and prep work Assist with dish area responsibilities as needed Master consistency and quality for all prepared items Keep work station clean and organized Maintain high sanitation and food safety procedures Contribute to daily, weekly and monthly kitchen cleaning checklist Communicate with back-of-house and front-of-house to produce quality guest experience Qualifications 3+ years kitchen experience required Serve Safe Certified required before starting Ability to thrive and stay calm in a fast-paced environment Strong work ethic, passion and reliable attendance Guest forward approach to produce quality, consistent food for their enjoyment Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays and special events Proven time and task management skills Collaborate as a team with Front of House and Back of house staff A want to be part of a positive, high-energy community driven team
