Job Description

Job Summary The Bartending Supervisor independently oversees and operates the bar at Chill 443 while actively bartending and preparing simple food items. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of bar service during assigned shifts without direct on-site management, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational standards, and complying with all company policies and applicable regulations. The Bartending Supervisor is expected to lead each shift, while balancing hands-on service with independent decision-making and accountability for the bar's overall performance. Key Responsibilities Independent Operations & Service Independently open, operate, and close the bar in accordance with company standards Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately Prepare and cook simple food items offered at the bar in accordance with food safety standards Ensure a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly and professionally without direct supervision Maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional bar environment Supervision & Leadership Act as the on-site supervisor for the bar area during assigned shifts Provide direction and support to any barbacks or support staff on duty Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and service standards Communicate effectively with the Wyndham General Manager regarding operations, issues, and needs Inventory & Compliance Manage bar inventory, including tracking usage, restocking, and reporting shortages Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of all food and beverage products Strictly enforce ID checks and responsible alcohol service practices Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol and health regulations Financial Responsibilities Accurately process all transactions using the POS system Handle cash and reconcile drawers at the end of each shift Maintain accountability for sales, cash handling, and tip distribution in accordance with company policy Qualifications Must be 21 years or older Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience required Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred Experience working independently in a bar or similar environment preferred Basic food preparation or line cook experience preferred Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and bar operations Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcohol in New York State Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds Ability to perform light cooking and food preparation tasks Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
