Salary Range:
$16.75 - $17.00 per hour Hilton Pearl River, a full-service luxury hotel located 25 minutes from New York City in Rockland County (NY) and bordering Bergen County (NJ), is seeking an organized, energetic, hands-on professional to join our exceptional team as Restaurant Host(ess)/Lead from 5:45AM - 12:00Noon weekday's. Hilton Pearl River remains an innovative forward-thinking hospitality leader by offering best-in-class products, services, and amenities to ensure that every guest feels cared for, valued and respected. Our Host(ess) will greet guests entering the restaurant and seat them in a timely manner. Ensure checks are opened and closed per department standards. The Host(ess) has a strong commitment to customer service, able to anticipate guests' needs.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Able to work a flexible schedule that includes holidays. Work 5:45AM - 12:00Noon all weekdays Must be able to stand for long periods of time, and to bend and lift as needed Ensure new team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to achieve job expectations Perform and help team member's compliance with consistent safe and sanitary food and beverage handling and serving Monitor maintenance/sanitation of the restaurant and equipment. Supervise adherence to all safety protocols Perform preparation of guest checks and collection of payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported to Engineering through proper channels Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction Assist with training restaurant team members to maximize productivity and minimize waste On time and at work when scheduled, and in proper dress standards Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and team members Report all incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other matters of significance to manager / supervisor so that corrective measures may be taken Comply with policies and procedures Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary, safety, security and emergency procedures. Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft, accidents or injuries when assigned. Check with manager / supervisor before leaving work area for any reason Any other duties / tasks as requested by management Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education:
