Job Description

Join our Care Team at Mennonite Village as an RN Shift Supervisor (Charge Nurse Role). This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing the assigned shift, supervising nursing staff, coordinating resident care, and ensuring high-quality clinical outcome within our skilled nursing department. We currently have openings on both 1st and 2nd shifts in our 42 bed community featuring all private rooms and bathrooms (21 per floor). We provide 24-hour post-operative, short -term, and long-term care services in a supportive, team-oriented enviornment. Mennonite Village is a not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that has proudly served the Mid-Willamette Valley for over 78 years. What You'll Do Provide Daily Leadership and Supervision Oversee CNAs and CMAs ensuring safe, timely care for residents as well as the following of all policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Foster and maintain open-door communication style for both staff and residents. Participate in state survey activities, demonstrating knowledge of regulatory standards and facility processes. Monitor and Provide Care to Residents Observe, document and report changes in resident conditions. Provide wound care, medications, fluids, and other treatments per providers orders. Monitor and maintain adequate stock of medications, supplies, and equipment, requesting orders when necessary. Support and Collaborate Support the LPN Charge Nurse as needed within RN scope of practice. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support residents' physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being. Represents Mennonite Village professionally, modeling the organization's mission, values, and service standards. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Poses current, valid, and unencumbered RN license for the state of Oregon. At least one year of clinical experience in long-term care preferred. Current CPR certification. Strong clinical judgement and critical thinking The Qualities That Set You Apart Compassionate, resident-centered approach. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. BSN Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience.
