Job Description

We re looking for someone who loves hospitality, knows how to build a strong team, and understands what it takes to run a successful restaurant. The right person will be hands-on, organized, financially aware, and comfortable leading from the floor.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of Stranded while helping create a restaurant where guests want to return and employees are proud to work.

Responsibilities include:

Lead and support a team of approximately 9 11 employeesOversee breakfast, espresso, bar, and weekend evening operationsRecruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and retain staffCreate clear standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and consistencyBe highly visible during service and lead by exampleBuild a positive, accountable, and professional team cultureManage scheduling and labor to match business levelsManage inventory, purchasing, receiving, and waste controlMonitor food cost, beverage cost, labor, sales, and other key operating metricsReview financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitabilityMaintain strong food safety, alcohol service, and health-code complianceOversee cash handling, POS procedures, and daily reportingHandle guest feedback and resolve concerns thoughtfullyMaintain strong communication with the Commodore Hotel team and ownershipHelp develop opportunities to increase revenue, particularly during evening serviceSupport a consistent experience across breakfast, coffee, bar, and dinner serviceWe re looking for someone with:

Previous restaurant management experience, ideally as a General Manager or strong Assistant General ManagerExperience managing a full-service restaurant, bar, caf , or similar hospitality operationStrong leadership and staff-development skillsAn understanding of labor management, scheduling, inventory, food cost, beverage cost, and P&L fundamentalsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesComfort working closely with both front- and back-of-house staffA genuine interest in hospitality and guest experienceAbility to maintain high standards while keeping the environment welcoming and approachableWillingness to work mornings, weekends, and evenings as the business requiresExperience with breakfast service, espresso, craft cocktails, wine, boutique hotels, or Scandinavian-inspired food would be especially valuable.
