Job Description

PMHNP in Astoria, OR Description Turnwell Mental Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing inpatient behavioral health team in Astoria, OR. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management to a diverse patient population, including adults and adolescents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment planning Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations Provide ongoing medication management and monitor patient response and side effects Collaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other team members to deliver coordinated care Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system Participate in care coordination meetings, peer consultation, and quality improvement initiatives Provide telehealth services as needed to serve rural and remote patients Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education, staying current with evidence-based psychiatric practices Adhere to all clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and ethical standards Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program Current
PMHNP-BC
certification from ANCC or equivalent Active Oregon APRN license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) Current DEA registration or ability to obtain Experience with outpatient psychiatric care Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with electronic health record systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of PMHNP experience in an outpatient or community mental health setting Experience treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders Familiarity with collaborative care models or integrated behavioral health Spanish language proficiency (a plus given the regional population) Experience with telehealth platforms Facility & Address Turnwell Mental Health 263 W Exchange St Astoria, OR 97103
