Job Description

The Crew Leader works to ensure that proper production procedures are followed while maintaining company sanitation and efficiency standards. Overall, Leaders are responsible for directing the activities of the line crew and fostering a team-oriented environment. Maintain inventories and minimizing waste, while monitoring production quality standards. Train new employees on processes and procedures. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to communicating standards and requirements, accurate production reporting procedures, assigning personnel to teams and tasks and documentation of employee activities. Must be able to promote a team effort to achieve common goals as well as give and receive constructive feedback. Must be a reliable self-starter, willing and able to learn new responsibilities and work independently. Must understand established safety/quality standards and the ability to communicate them. Good problem solving and decision-making skills are essential. Production experience, PC skills and Systems Application in Data Processing (SAP) - not required of my team leaders but are a plus. Must be able to withstand a production environment with exposure to food allergens, dust and varying temperatures. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results. Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting to 30 lbs. Must be flexible with regards to schedule and job assignments. Hours and days may change based on production needs. Good verbal and written communication skills are required to interact effectively with different authority levels and personnel.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 6+ months of production experience preferred. Good intermediate math skills are required. Microsoft Office skills preferred. Demonstrated comprehension skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) required. Production experience and SAP are a plus. Basic reading and writing skills. Performing physical activities that require standing for long periods of time considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, and handling of materials and lifting to 30 lbs. Able to withstand a production environment with exposure to dust, food allergens, and varying temperatures. Highly dependable and able to work a flexible schedule with varying job duties Providing honest and respectful communication to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Follow Bakery Candy Kitchen Food Safety, Dress Code and Sanitation requirements. This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing. Day Shift Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:20pm #INDOPS
