The Hotel Restaurant Supervisor oversees daily dining room operations, manages front-of-house staff, and ensures guests receive high-quality food and service that match the hotel's brand standards.
Responsibilities Shift Operations:
Coordinate breakfast, lunch, or dinner service, manage seating arrangements, and oversee workflow between the dining floor and the kitchen.
Staff Management:
Supervise servers, hosts, and bussers. Assist with training, scheduling, daily shift briefings, and performance tracking.
Guest Relations:
Greet guests, monitor satisfaction throughout the meal, and resolve any complaints quickly and professionally.
Quality & Safety Control:
Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations (such as health codes). Check food presentation and table setups before service.
Inventory & Administration:
Monitor stock levels for tableware, linens, and condiments. Help manage supply orders, track attendance, and complete end-of-shift sales reports.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED required; a degree or certification in hospitality management, hotel administration, or culinary arts is preferred.
Experience:
1 to 3 years of experience in food and beverage service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role within a hotel or restaurant.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team-motivation abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Problem-solving under pressure during peak service hours. Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and walk for long periods (entire shifts) and lift or carry items up to 30-50 pounds. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
