About Goodness Bowls Goodness Bowls is a community-focused café serving fresh smoothies, açaí bowls, juices, and nourishing food in a welcoming, upbeat environment. This Paoli cafe location is locally owned and operated, under the Goodness Bowls corporate franchise, and we're building something special—a place where both customers and team members genuinely feel good walking in the door. We are located right across the street from the Paoli Train Station! About This Role We're looking for a Shift Lead who wants to be more than just a shift runner—you'll be a key partner in building the culture, setting the tone, and helping this café thrive from the ground up. You'll work directly alongside the café's operator in the early stages, with the opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role as the business scales. This is a hands-on role for someone who leads by example, takes ownership, and genuinely cares about their team and the customer experience. What You'll Do Lead the Day-to-Day Help run daily operations with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and flow Keep both front and back of house running smoothly and efficiently Step in wherever needed during busy shifts—this is a "lead from the floor" role Build and Support the Team Help train, and develop a strong, reliable team Create a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment Support scheduling and step in when coverage is needed Give real-time feedback and help people improve and grow Own the Details Support inventory, ordering, and cost control Help maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workspaces Ensure food safety and operational standards are consistently met Drive the Experience Set the tone for exceptional, friendly customer service Handle customer concerns with professionalism and care Help build relationships within the local community What We're Looking For 1-3+ years in a leadership role in food service or hospitality Someone who is reliable, proactive, and takes ownership Strong people skills—you know how to motivate without micromanaging Calm under pressure and able to problem-solve on the fly High standards when it comes to cleanliness, organization, and service Flexible availability (including mornings, evenings, weekends & holidays) What Makes This Different You'll work directly with an engaged, hands-on operator who is invested in building a great team Real opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role as the business expands A positive, team-first environment where your voice and ideas matter A brand centered around health, community, and feeling good This Role Is NOT For Someone Who Prefers to "just manage" instead of actively working alongside the team Avoids accountability or struggles with follow-through Doesn't enjoy a fast-paced, hands-on environment Isn't comfortable giving and receiving feedback Benefits Competitive Hourly Rate Paid training Opportunities for professional development and growth Employee discounts on products, free shift meals Health and wellness benefits (based on eligibility) offered after the completion of an initial employment period Apply Today If you take pride in your work, care about people, and want to help build something from the ground up—we'd love to meet you.
