This position is responsible for leading the Food is Health strategy leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of food-based health initiatives that address food insecurity and improve health outcomes. This role oversees strategic planning, program operations, cross-functional collaboration, and builds relationships with community partnerships to advance the organization's Food Is Health strategy. The Team Lead uses data-informed strategies, evidence-based practices, and stakeholder engagement to drive innovation, measure impact, and benefit clients, patients, members, and the communities we serve. Additionally, the team lead will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, staff, and performance of the Fresh Food Farmacy program to ensure high-quality service delivery and positive health outcomes for participants. This role oversees the Fresh Food Farmacy staff , supports program growth and continuous improvement and onsite program operations, manages community and internal partnerships, and ensures program goals, quality metrics, and operational targets are achieved. The Team Lead fosters a patient-centered approach, promotes team engagement and accountability, and utilizes data to drive decision-making and demonstrate program impact.
Job Duties:
Applicants must reside in Northeast and Central Pennsylvania and be able to travel within our Geisinger footprint. Travel requirement is approximately 25%. Coordinates and supervises the delivery of health services and activities of assigned personnel. Ensures compliance with the directives, policies, applicable laws and regulations. Supports and implements the health services goals and objectives. Oversees functional components of department including ensuring appropriate staffing and support levels for operations. Communicates and incorporates Health Services and the Organization's vision, goals, initiatives, and service standards at the team and department level, consistent with the Organization's philosophy and environment to internal and external stakeholders. Maintains operational responsibility for staffing to support quality, efficiency and customer service including staff job descriptions, hiring, orientation, goal setting, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, promoting, and establishment and delivery of initial and ongoing staff education programs. Provides supervision, support, coaching, and guidance for assigned staff and maintains direct responsibility for Health Services operations. Assures policy and procedure compliance with member confidentiality requirements, documentation policies, regulatory agencies, and health plan standards. Oversees development of appropriate reporting dashboards and analytics needed for evaluating operations. Manages employee communications, organization of events and other activities related to the Health Services initiatives. Establishes collaborative working relationships within and outside the organization to support the Health Plan and Health Services department goals, standards, and business strategies. Performs process review analysis, including documenting current process and designing new processes to take advantage of technology and modified service delivery mechanisms. Leads project initiatives and prepares project documents including project plans, project requirements, design documents, flow charts, presentations, test plans, procedures, training materials, stakeholder communications and reports.
