Job Description
Oversee all aspects of the food service operation, including hiring and management of both food servicer civilian and inmate workers. Ensuring security within the cafeteria, and maintaining compliance with SCDC policies and regulations. Responsible for all paperwork required by SCDC and contracts for retention requirements. Responsible for maintaining equipment to ensure compliance and availability to prepare meals. Regular communication with food service branch management and institutional management is essential. Report any concerns. Enforces SCDC policy, rules, and regulations. Responsible for maintaining budget while ensuring operational compliance that includes managing scheduling, placing weekly food orders, and overseeing purchasing and inventory. Conduct inspections of outside feeding areas to include RHU and other housing units. Any duties as requested that may fall within job purpose. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
