Job Description

Reports To:
Food & Beverage Manager/Food & Beverage Director Purpose of the
Position:
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of food and beverage, ensuring efficient and effective service, maintaining quality standards, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff and being responsible for the execution of all meetings, meals, wedding receptions, social functions, etc. in accordance with hotel and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision and Training:
Supervise, train, and motivate food and beverage staff to provide excellent customer service. Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs within budget. Assign tasks and coordinate activities of staff. Provide feedback and coaching to employees. Ensure staff adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of food and beverage service areas, including restaurant, lounge, and banquet facilities. Ensure all areas are properly set up and maintained, including cleanliness and organization. Monitor service standards and ensure all guests receive high-quality service. Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally. Collaborates with other departments to ensure a great guest experience. Process daily paperwork.
Inventory and Cost Control:
Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure accurate record-keeping. Monitor and control costs to maximize profitability.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all food and beverage areas meet hotel quality and presentation standards. Monitor health and safety procedures, including hygiene standards.
Event Coordination:
Assist in planning and coordinating events, banquets, and special functions. Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure successful event execution. Oversee setup, service, and breakdown of events.
Customer Service:
Greet and interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and feedback with professionalism and efficiency. Foster a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy trays, and move quickly between tasks. Flexibility of work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job description serves as a general guideline.
