About Crypto Burger Crypto Burger is a Houston-based gourmet burger brand serving burgers and hot dogs from food trucks, ghost kitchens, and events across Sugar Land, Spring, and the Medical Center. Now we're bringing the truck to the Texas A&M area, and we're looking for the person who will run it. About the Role This isn't a typical line cook job. You'll be in charge of the truck from open to close, handling cooking, orders, inventory, cleaning, and upkeep. We need someone who can run a fast-paced operation on their own with confidence, there will be another employee to assist during peak hours. Our busiest hours are at night, so this role covers our core evening and late-night shift, including weekends and game days. Responsibilities Prepare a our signature burgers and hot dogs with precision and consistency, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols Manage inventory by tracking stock levels and updating our inventory sheets in Google Sheets every shift, so counts and usage stay accurate Pick up supplies from Restaurant Depot, grocery stores, and other approved suppliers as needed, keeping the truck stocked before every shift (Pay structure for mileage and drive time will be discussed in interview) Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for processing sales, cash handling, and retail transactions Manage customer orders efficiently, upselling menu items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including kitchen equipment, serving areas, and food storage areas Handle cash register operations accurately, including processing cash transactions and giving correct change Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating supply needs promptly Skills Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service & fast food restaurant environments Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cashiering is a plus Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales records Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Previous experience in retail sales transactions or grocery store environments is advantageous Capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for supply runs Comfortable using Google Sheets or similar tools to track inventory
