  • 4pm to finish production Job Duties and Responsibilities Will work directly under the supervision of the Shipping Manager PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment ) will be issued as needed and must be worn at all times.
Will conduct Safety, GMP and SOP Meetings with employees Plans, establishes priorities and oversees the processes in Shipping that are required to achieve consistency within the policies and food safety requirements of Taylor Farms. Works with Shipping Manager to prepare schedules and coordinate activities to ensure consistent staffing to cover high and low volume orders. Develops or revises standard operational procedures and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Human Resources for further action. Maintains, stores, and retrieves shipping data for review Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety and food safety requirements Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals Training of new employees Ensure that all SQF, HACCP, Food Safety, GMP, Food Quality and Employee Safety rules and programs are followed. Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent Bachelor's degree preferred Must have 1 to 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Bi-lingual a must. Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Good Organizational Skills
  • Must be able to prioritize Reasoning Ability
Intermediate Skills:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen, stand, walk and sit. Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks). Equipment/Software Used Axapta Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook a plus. Pallet Jacks ( if licensed ) and Forklifts ( if licensed ) Tractor/Trailers ( if licensed ), "Yard Dog" ( if licensed ), or Company vehicle ( if approved ) WMS System background and application of use Work Environment Full time position Must be willing to work in refrigerated warehouse environment
