Job Description

Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dietary Supervisor to lead our food service team and oversee all aspects of nutrition and dietary management within our facility. This vital role ensures that residents receive nutritious, safe, and appealing meals while maintaining compliance with health regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, food safety expertise, and a passion for improving quality of life through proper nutrition. Responsibilities Supervise and manage the food service team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Develop and implement care plans related to residents' dietary needs, including specialized diets such as tube feeding or clinical nutrition protocols Conduct patient assessments to determine nutritional requirements and monitor progress through diagnostic evaluation tools Oversee food production processes ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to health regulation policies and food service health code compliance Manage food service budgets, control inventory, and oversee procurement to ensure cost-effective operations Ensure compliance with all health regulations, including food safety management practices and documentation using electronic health records (EHR) systems Collaborate with healthcare teams on care plans involving nutrition, physiology considerations, and acute care needs Requirements Proven experience in skilled nursing or long-term care dietary departments with supervisory responsibilities Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, food safety management, and food service health code compliance Experience with patient assessment, clinical nutrition, dietetics, and managing specialized diets such as tube feeding or enteral nutrition Demonstrated leadership skills with team management experience in food service or healthcare settings Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management practices Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and physiology for diverse resident needs Excellent organizational skills with budget management experience in a healthcare or food service environment Knowledge of food production processes, food safety standards, and regulatory compliance in acute care settings is preferred Join us to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives by ensuring they receive the highest standard of nutritional care.
