Job Description
We are launching a high-end, 90-seat café with a coffee bar, dessert station, and full kitchen, and we are looking for a strong, experienced manager to lead operations from day one. Join our team as a Café Manager, where you will lead the daily operations , ensuring exceptional customer experiences and smooth workflow. This role combines leadership, food service expertise, and operational management to create an inviting atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. As a Café Manager, you'll oversee staff, manage inventory, uphold food safety standards, and drive the overall success of the café with enthusiasm and professionalism. Lead and supervise all café staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to foster a motivated and efficient workforce Oversee daily food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality offerings that meet brand standards Manage point-of-sale (POS) system for accurate cash handling and transaction processing Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen and dining areas Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, customer service excellence, and operational procedures Manage shift schedules, monitor performance, and resolve customer concerns promptly to uphold a positive dining experience Proven experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurant environments; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus Strong background in food/drink preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, staff training, and interviewing skills Knowledge of inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols in the hospitality industry Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor 3+ years café/ restaurant management experience Strong barista/coffee knowledge
