Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar and Restaurant General Manager to lead our hospitality team with enthusiasm and expertise. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing food and beverage quality, and driving overall profitability. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a strong management background, and a keen eye for detail to create memorable experiences for our guests. Your leadership will inspire staff, optimize restaurant performance, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and service excellence. Duties Lead and motivate the restaurant and bar teams to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, beverage service, and kitchen operations to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering, and waste reduction strategies. Supervise staff training programs focused on food handling, safety protocols, customer service skills, and operational procedures. Handle cash management duties including cash handling, reconciliation, and deposit preparation with precision. Monitor daily shift operations, ensuring smooth flow from seating to service while managing staffing schedules and shift assignments. Conduct regular food safety audits, ensure compliance with health regulations, and implement food safety management practices. Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for increased revenue and cost control measures. Foster a team-oriented environment by conducting interviews, hiring qualified staff, providing ongoing training & development, and evaluating performance. Experience Proven management experience in quick service or fast-food restaurants with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and customer service excellence. Extensive background in restaurant management with hands-on experience in supervising hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and transaction processing is essential. Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety management, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis. Prior experience managing kitchen operations including food production, catering services, banquet events, or bar operations is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills in team training & development, staff supervision, interviewing potential hires, and managing hospitality teams effectively. Knowledge of culinary practices including food handling standards, cooking techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management principles. Experience working within the food industry with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences in both casual dining and hotel environments is preferred.
