Job Description

About the Role We're looking for a hands-on leader to own how our restaurant runs. Your main job is to put our Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) procedures into practice and make sure every team member is trained to follow them consistently, every shift. Key Responsibilities Operational Procedures Implement, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for FOH and BOH, including opening/closing, service flow, food prep, line setup, cleaning, and inventory. Audit daily operations to confirm procedures are followed, and correct gaps quickly. Update SOPs as menus, equipment, or service needs change. Ensure compliance with health codes, food safety standards, and workplace safety rules. Training Build and run onboarding and ongoing training programs for all positions: servers, hosts, bartenders, bussers, line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers. Create training materials such as checklists, station guides, and quick-reference sheets. Conduct hands-on shift training and certify employees before they work independently. Train shift leads and managers to reinforce procedures when you're not on the floor. Track training completion and performance, and retrain as needed. Team & Quality Serve as the link between kitchen and floor to keep communication and service smooth. Monitor guest experience, ticket times, food quality, and waste, and adjust procedures to improve results. Report on operational performance and training progress to ownership/general manager. Qualifications Experience of restaurant management or supervisory experience, with exposure to both FOH and BOH. Proven experience writing SOPs and training staff. Current food handler/food manager certification (e.g., ServSafe Manager), or ability to obtain within 30 days. Strong communicator who can teach, coach, and hold people accountable. Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
