Job Description
Front of House Coordinator The Original Henry's San Angelo, TX Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Qualifications Food service customer order management Operations management Shift management Team management Attention to detail Full Job Description About The Original Henry's The Original Henry's is a family-owned San Angelo restaurant that has been serving our community for more than 50 years. We're known for great food, familiar faces, and the kind of hospitality that keeps generations of families coming back. We're looking for a dependable, organized, and people-focused Front of House Coordinator to help keep our front-of-house operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on position focused primarily on our hosts, cashiers, floor operations, and guest experience , while also providing support to the dining room and management team as needed. What You'll Do Help oversee and support hosts and cashiers throughout the shift. Keep the host stand, entrance, waiting area, and cashier stations organized and running efficiently. Coordinate seating and help maintain an accurate, efficient guest waitlist during busy periods. Monitor the flow of the dining room and communicate with servers and management when tables are ready, sections become overwhelmed, or adjustments are needed. Help ensure guests are greeted promptly and warmly when they arrive. Support cashiers with transactions, takeout orders, guest questions, and order accuracy. Help coordinate takeout orders to ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready on time. Answer phones and assist with guest questions, large-party inquiries, and general restaurant information. Step in to support hosts, cashiers, bussers, and the dining room when needed. Help resolve minor guest concerns and involve management when appropriate. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout guest-facing areas. Assist with opening and closing responsibilities for the front of house. Communicate issues, staffing needs, guest concerns, and operational problems to management. Help reinforce Henry's service standards and expectations with the front-of-house team. What We're Looking For Friendly, confident, and comfortable communicating with both guests and employees. Organized and able to keep track of several things at once. Dependable, punctual, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. Able to remain calm and make good decisions during busy periods. Comfortable giving direction to hosts and cashiers when needed. Willing to jump in and help rather than simply point out a problem. Strong attention to detail, especially with guest flow, takeout orders, and cash handling. Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred, but the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn are most important. Comfortable taking direction and working closely with restaurant management. Experience with POS systems is a plus. The Right Fit This role is for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done. You might see that the front door hasn't been greeted, a cashier needs help, the waitlist is getting backed up, a takeout order needs attention, or a table needs to be cleared—and you step in. You don't need to run the entire dining room. Your job is to help keep the front of the restaurant organized, welcoming, and moving while supporting the team around you. We're looking for someone who can lead by example, communicate well, and become a reliable point person for our hosts and cashiers without losing sight of the most important thing: taking care of our guests. If you're organized, dependable, enjoy working with people, and want to take on more responsibility in a busy restaurant environment, we'd love to meet you.
