Job Description Tannin Bar is a new wine bar and kitchen opening this fall in Park City. We're building a destination for great wine, thoughtful food, and genuine hospitality.
Our goal is simple:
create the neighborhood gathering place guests can't wait to return to. You'll help build Tannin Bar from the ground up, shaping everything from the guest experience and team culture to operational systems and service standards. Estimated start date:
October 5, 2026. The Opportunity As the Front of House Lead, you will provide shift-level leadership for Tannin Bar's dining room and bar, setting the standard for guest service while performing serving or bartending duties. This position ensures smooth floor operations, supports and coaches Front of House staff during service, and acts as the General Manager's on-the-floor representative when the General Manager is not present. You will be part of the founding team, establish the systems that drive consistency, oversee daily operations, and create an experience that guests and employees are proud to be part of. What Success Looks Like Deliver memorable guest experiences that create loyal regulars while delighting destination visitors. Build a culture of accountability, curiosity, hospitality, and continuous improvement. Role-modeling of wine and menu knowledge for the Front of House team. Communication and follow-through with the General Manager. Responsibilities Open and/or close the Front of House, including cash handling, POS reconciliation, and pre-shift setup. Assign sections, manage floor flow, and balance workload across Servers, Bartenders, and Hostess. Deliver hands-on food, beverage, or bar service alongside the team during service. Coach and support Front of House staff in real time, modeling Tannin Bar's service and wine-pairing standards. Resolve guest concerns promptly, escalating to the General Manager when needed. Monitor responsible alcohol service compliance across the Front of House team. Communicate with the kitchen to ensure timely, accurate service and pacing. Support onboarding and training of new Front of House hires. Maintain thorough knowledge of menu allergens and support staff in addressing guest allergy concerns. Report maintenance, inventory, or staffing issues to the General Manager. Support wine dinners, private events, and special promotions as scheduled. Lead by example on the floor and provide coaching in real time. Qualifications Two or more years of serving or bartending experience in a full-service restaurant, including some lead or trainer experience, preferred. Strong wine knowledge, or active pursuit of wine education/certification. Demonstrated ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-oriented under pressure. Comfort with POS systems (e.g., Toast) and basic cash handling and reconciliation. Strong communication skills and credibility with peers as an on-shift leader.
