Kitchen Supervisor Join Our Team at Our Assisted Living Community! We are seeking a dedicated, organized, and hands-on Kitchen Supervisor to lead our dietary team in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading others, maintaining high standards, and creating a welcoming dining experience for seniors. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan, develop, and implement nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs. Update and rotate menus seasonally to provide variety and fresh offerings. Supervise, train, schedule, and support all kitchen staff ensuring schedule is adequately covered. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships. Maintain food and labor costs while operating within the department budget. Prepare meals and assist with food production as needed. Cover kitchen shifts when staffing shortages occur to ensure uninterrupted meal service. Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Work collaboratively with administration and nursing staff to meet residents' nutritional needs and accommodate special diets. Qualifications Previous supervisory experience in a commercial kitchen, healthcare, senior living, or food service environment preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, dependable, and willing to lead by example. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed to support the team.
