Customer Service Manager Primary Purpose:
Responsible for Food Lion To Go operations, making decisions which impact store associates and the level of service offered to our customers. Act as a customer service ambassador in all departments to achieve business goals while fostering an environment that produces high levels of customer satisfaction and associate morale.Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provides ongoing performance management, training and conducts timely formal performance appraisals for direct reports Maintain effective work schedules for Food Lion To Go associates to meet business traffic requirements of on-line orders to minimize customer inconvenience, including assigning activities to associates during idle time Providing leadership and motivation within the store to promote a culture reflective of our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy Support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating results Proactively partner with department managers to ensure fresh orders, particularly those with out of stocks are handled properly Ensure return-to-stock items are handled in a prompt and orderly manner with the most immediate attention given to refrigerated and perishable items Role model outstanding, friendly customer service and use skills and knowledge of department products to offer solutions that meet or exceed customers' expectations Controls store's expenses through proper ordering, care for supplies and equipment Understand and use company tools such as; financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, productivity, ordering (CAO), and business information systems Understanding and utilize Average Cost Inventory System (ACIS) Perform duties that ensure department appearance, quality, variety, workplace safety, food safety and department sanitation are consistently maintained Has a complete understanding of scheduling, sales, projections, wage percent, interviewing, hiring, training, company information, and all other items deemed necessary to manage the Food Lion To Go operations Observes and corrects all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents Records and reports all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations Adheres to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices Maintains security standards Successfully complete Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet and Training Aid courses Provides recognition of accomplishments and offers constructive counseling when necessary as it relates to achieving customer satisfaction and service while building store sales Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations Support Front End operations as needed.Duties may include:
- Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible
- Identify customers needing assistance and offers to take the customer's order to their car
- Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and cart corrals utilizing the tether strap per standard practice
- Report any register or FL2GO equipment malfunction to the Customer Service Manager or MOD Performs all other duties as assigned
