Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Banquet Staff member to join our team! This position requires a flexible schedule and the opportunity to engage with guests while maintaining high standards of service. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing top-notch hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Interaction:
Greet guests warmly and address any questions or concerns. Anticipate guests' needs to ensure a positive and memorable experience. Provide personalized service to enhance the overall banquet atmosphere.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring tables, chairs, linens, and equipment are arranged according to event specifications. Assist in the preparation and coordination of banquet events to ensure smooth operations.
Food and Beverage Service:
Monitor and manage the flow of food and beverage service during events. Ensure proper presentation, timing, and adherence to dietary restrictions and guest preferences.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the banquet area. Perform regular checks to ensure everything is operating smoothly and to the highest standards of service.
Problem-Solving:
Quickly identify and address any issues that arise, including guest complaints or operational challenges. Resolve problems with a calm demeanor and effective communication.
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse groups of guests. Strong leadership and supervisory abilities to guide staff and oversee operations. Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and proper etiquette. Effective communication skills for clear coordination with team members and guests. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
Additional Requirements:
Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and early mornings. Availability to work on some holidays, as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
