1 year to less than 2 years Tasks Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards Address customers' complaints or concerns Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage Support for newcomers and refugees Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees Does not require Canadian work experience Support for youths Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth Support for Veterans Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market Support for mature workers Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload (for example: flexible or reduced work hours, part time employment, project-based or seasonal work, etc.) Supports for visible minorities Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
