Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY A
Shift Leader is the first real step into leadership at Tito's. When you're the leader on duty, you set the pace, hold the standard, and take care of the team and the guest — every shift, the same way. This is not a crew job with a title. It is the first rung on a ladder that ends with running your own store as an Owner-Operator. We hire Shift Leaders to grow into managers, and we develop managers to grow into owners. If you want a paycheck, this isn't the role. If you want a path, keep reading.THE PATH
—WHY THIS ROLE IS A BIG DEAL
Every Owner-Operator at Tito's started by leading a shift. This is where it begins. Crew- where you start Shift Leader
- lead the floor SMIT
- train to manage Store Manager
- run the store Owner-Operator
- six figures+ / profit split Prove you can lead a shift, and you earn the chance to train as a Store Manager (SMIT).
WHAT YOU OWN ON A SHIFT
Run the floor when you're the leader on duty — you're on a station serving guests, keeping orders moving, and setting the pace by example. Hold the line on brand standards across all 7Key Business Drivers:
Quality, Speed, Accuracy, Hospitality, Cleanliness, Value, and People. Coach crew in the moment — catch what's off and correct it to standard, on the spot. Open or close the store to checklist standard, including cash handling and drawer accountability. Handle guest issues directly and make it right before the guest leaves. Step onto any station when the rush calls for it — you lead by doing, not by watching. Protect food safety and cleanliness as non-negotiables, not afterthoughts. Lead by working, not by managing paperwork. Shift Leaders do not hire, fire, discipline, or write schedules — those calls belong to the Store Manager.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Set the energy on every shift — eye contact, a smile, real hospitality, and a team that feels it. Execute opening, closing, and line-check procedures completely and on time. Keep speed of service, order accuracy, and food quality at standard during your shift. Train and certify crew on station SOPs and support recertification. Complete shift documentation accurately — logs, handoffs, and any incident reporting. Communicate clearly with the Store Manager on what went well, what broke, and what needs attention.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Reliable. You show up, on time, ready — every shift. The team can count on you. You've owned something — a problem you solved, a team you helped, a process you improved. It doesn't have to be in a restaurant. Calm under a rush. When it gets loud and fast, you steady the room instead of adding to the noise. You genuinely like people — both the guests you serve and the teammates beside you. Coachable. You ask questions, take feedback, and actually apply it. You want to grow. You're not looking for a shift — you're looking for a path.COMPENSATION & GROWTH
