In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations within our care environment, ensure compliance with safety and health standards, and foster a compassionate atmosphere for residents. Your leadership will help promote a safe, engaging, and supportive setting where individuals receive personalized attention to enhance their quality of life. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve while working alongside a passionate team committed to excellence. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily activities of wellness staff during your shift, ensuring high-quality care delivery Assist with resident care plans, including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect residents' privacy and confidentiality Support residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care needs, and behavioral challenges through compassionate engagement Oversee safety protocols including first aid response, CPR certification adherence, and emergency procedures Maintain accurate documentation of resident observations, care activities, and incident reports Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness standards through proper cleaning routines and infection control practices Qualifications Proven experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and care planning Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or dementia care are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly valued Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents' families Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining compassion and professionalism Join us as a Wellness Assistant Shift Supervisor to lead compassionate caregiving efforts that truly make a difference!
