This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to lead food preparation activities, coordinate with staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. As a key leader in our food service operation, you'll inspire your team to deliver exceptional experiences while maintaining efficient workflows and adhering to safety protocols. Responsibilities Lead the preparation of fresh produce by slicing, dicing, and portioning according to recipes and menu specifications Supervise and train team members on proper knife skills, slicing techniques, and food handling procedures to ensure safety and efficiency Maintain strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and cleanliness throughout all prep areas Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of prepared produce for meal assembly and plating Oversee inventory management of produce supplies, monitor stock levels, and communicate needs for replenishment Ensure all food preparation activities comply with safety standards in production, including proper use of kitchen equipment Experience Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles within healthcare or food service settings Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and operating commercial kitchen equipment Familiarity with food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments Experience with knife skills, slicing techniques, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in restaurant or catering contexts Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and team leadership abilities Knowledge of food industry best practices related to food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness Previous leadership experience as a prep lead or supervisor in a culinary setting is preferred This role is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about culinary excellence and team leadership.
