1st Shift Operations Lead
Job Description
Responsible for providing direction to Forklift Operators, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard. Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner.
Assist and supports with training employees and certifies newly hired LTOs.
In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Lead will act as Supervisor as needed
Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
Assists Supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning and directing work.
Assist LTO's with daily issues.
Assist other Leads and Supervisors with ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are being followed.
Need to Case Pick daily and/or as needed based on business needs.
Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
Assist with onboarding and safety training. Assist the Ops Managers, Supervisors and GM/HRM with special projects.
Schedule flexibility is a must base on business needs.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm With Some weekends and Overtime.
Pay rate:
$24.00 No Shift Diff. This position is designated as safety-sensitive, meaning performance directly affects the safety of the employee and others, including the general public. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
Proficient with Microsoft word and Excel
Must have good and professional communication skills. Must be a team player and embrace changes.
