is currently seeking a Travel Coordinator to join their team in Northern Virginia. The qualified candidate will manage all travel arrangements, expense tracking, and compliance with DOS travel policies for personnel deployed under the GMOS task order. Ensures proper documentation, tracks approvals, and provides detailed travel itineraries. Prepares Trip Reports summarizing all long distance travel identified through Government approved Travel Authorization Requests. Captures employee name, travel location, trip duration, point of contact, approval authority, total trip cost, purpose, and knowledge gained in each report. Prepares each report in accordance with Government requirements and templates. Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on assignments, performing work under supervision. Experience and Skills Coordinate and manage official travel for military personnel, civilian employees and contractors in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations and Federal travel policies Process travel authorizations, reservations, vouchers and reimbursements using the Defense Travel System, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance Plan complex domestic and international travel itineraries including commercial flights, lodging, rental vehicles, passports, visas and country clearance requirements Demonstrate strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills by managing multiple high priority travel requests, adapting to last minute operational changes.
Physical Requirements Footwear:
Steel-toe boots or steel-toe protective shoes are required at all times while performing warehouse duties or handling IT equipment.
Lifting and Carrying:
Ability to lift, carry, and move IT equipment and boxed assets weighing a minimum of 40 pounds . Occasional lifting of items above this weight may be required with proper team-lift procedures.
Standing and Walking:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday, including walking between storage areas, staging zones, and inventory stations.
Bending, Stooping, and Reaching:
Regular bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching to access shelves, pallet racks, and inventory locations.
Pushing and Pulling:
Ability to push or pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment used to transport IT assets within the warehouse environment.
Manual Dexterity:
Sufficient hand and finger dexterity to safely unbox, label, scan, connect, and prepare IT hardware and accessories.
Environmental Conditions:
Ability to work in a warehouse setting with variable temperatures, concrete flooring, and active movement of equipment and personnel. May require use of basic PPE such as gloves or safety glasses depending on task. Equipment Operation (if applicable): Ability to safely operate non-powered material handling equipment (e.g., carts, dollies, pallet jacks).
