Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Our Travel Consultants serve as knowledgeable ambassadors of Bass Pro- Hospitality, specializing in promotions, room categories, and property details to effectively inform and upsell to guests. They are responsible for handling reservation inquiries
- both verbal and written
- with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while optimizing room revenue and sales opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide outstanding, personalized guest service while answering all phone calls within three rings.
- Communicate with the guests in a professional manner via phone
- Gain thorough knowledge of our current guest services, dining options, and activities to answer guest questions and upsell
- Process all reservations, changes and cancellations coming over the resort's switchboard or via email.
- Remain in constant awareness of all resort package plans, paying close attention to changes and updates
- Handle daily correspondence and complete outbound calls in a timely manner; responding to inquiries and making reservations as needed
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all room types, rates, packages, and booking procedures.
- Work within established guidelines, striving to maximize both occupancy and revenue
- Will perform other duties as required
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Degree Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent- Minimum typing skill of 45 wpm
- Minimum one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Ability to listen attentively, speak clearly, and write effectively to understand client needs and provide detailed information
- Building rapport, managing client relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Juggling multiple bookings, itineraries, and tasks while managing time efficiently and in an organized manner
- Ensuring accuracy in all travel arrangements and documents
- Handling unexpected issues like flight cancellations or changes in plans
- Recommending and upselling services, meeting sales targets, and convincing clients to book
- Competence in using a variety of software, including booking systems and customer management tools
- Adjusting to changes in client needs or travel plans and staying updated with industry changes.
- Paying close attention to what clients are saying to understand their needs accurately
- Influencing clients to choose specific travel options and services
- Making sound judgments that are in the best interest of the customer
- The ability to manage one's workload and responsibilities effectively
