Bilingual Tour Guide & Storyteller (Portuguese/English)Washington, DC | Seasonal & On-Demand Independent Contractor Do you love history, storytelling, and meeting people from around the world? DCP Tour is looking for an enthusiastic and personable Portuguese/English Bilingual Tour Guide & Storyteller to join our team in Washington, DC. As a DCP Tour guide, you will help visitors discover the history, culture, and landmarks of Washington, DC through engaging and memorable experiences. You may lead walking tours or private car tours , depending on visitor demand, your availability, and qualifications. What We Offer Full training provided by DCP Tour , including tour content, routes, storytelling, and guest experience. Tour outlines and relevant materials to help you prepare for each experience. Flexible, on-demand scheduling based on reservations and visitor demand. Opportunity to work with visitors from around the world. $25-$32 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications, plus tips when applicable . About the Position This is a seasonal, on-demand independent contractor opportunity . Hours and assignments vary according to reservations and business demand. Approximately 8-32 hours per week may be available during periods of demand, but there is no guaranteed minimum number of hours . Weekend availability is required, and flexibility during holidays and high-demand periods is strongly preferred. What We're Looking For Fluent in Portuguese and English . Excellent communication and public-speaking skills. Friendly, professional, reliable, and comfortable working with diverse audiences. Passion for history, culture, tourism, or storytelling. Comfortable walking approximately 2 miles per tour and working outdoors in different weather conditions. Previous guiding, hospitality, education, theater, history, or public-speaking experience is a plus. A valid driver's license is preferred , especially for candidates interested in private car-tour assignments. Why Join DCP Tour? You don't need to be an expert on Washington, DC when you start.
