Are you passionate about the great outdoors and enjoy sharing your love of nature with others? Join our team as a Kayak Tour Guide! We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to lead our kayak tours, providing memorable experiences and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Kayak Tours:
Guide groups of up to 10 guests on scenic water routes, offering engaging and informative commentary about local wildlife & history.
Ensure Safety Provide Excellent Customer Service:
Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and questions promptly. Maintain Equipment Promote a
Positive Experience:
Foster a welcoming and enthusiastic environment, making each tour enjoyable and memorable for participants.
Requirements:
Experience Towing Trailer /
Towing Capabilities:
A vehicle that is equipped to tow 2000bs. [Our trailer is located 10 minutes from the launch site and has to be picked up and dropped off before and after tours each day.]
Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate information, instructions, and stories to guests of all backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
Confidence:
Comfortable leading groups on the water, making decisions under pressure, and handling unexpected situations with poise.
Reliability:
Consistently punctual and dependable, with a strong commitment to fulfilling scheduled tours and responsibilities.
Positive Attitude:
Maintains an upbeat and encouraging demeanor, even in challenging situations, to enhance the overall experience for guests.
Integrity:
Demonstrates honesty and ethical behavior in all aspects of the job, including safety practices and guest interactions.
Physical Strength:
Capable of lifting and handling kayak equipment and gear, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
Experience:
Previous experience as a kayak guide or similar outdoor leadership role preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
