If you have a love of history, nature, and working with the public, we have just the job for you! Wormsloe Historic Site located in beautiful Savannah, Georgia is currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual for the position of part-time Naturalist (Historic Interpreter. We are searching for a friendly, knowledgeable history lover who enjoys working outdoors.
Job duties include:
Developing and leading historical, educational, and recreational programs for the public. Greeting guests. Dressing in 18th century costume.
Preferred qualifications include:
Passion for History, nature, and customer service. Willingness to learn. Enthusiasm to share your knowledge with others. Additional duties as necessary may be included, such as minor paper work and research. You must be organized and enjoy working with people. Love of colonial history and nature is a bonus!
Other duties may include:
general site maintenance, which includes but is not limited to picking up trash on the trails, sweeping, stocking the restrooms, construction projects, as well as mowing. Part time, between 24-29 hours (three days) per week, starting hourly rate $12.00 per hour. Training provided on site. This position makes a great addition to any resume!
