Guides lead groups of up to 15 guests along a designated route through the Honolulu Zoo, sharing engaging stories and fascinating facts about the zoo's animal residents. In addition to highlighting each species' unique characteristics, guides help visitors understand the conservation challenges these animals face in the wild and inspire actions that support their protection. After completing training and demonstrating a strong understanding of the zoo's animals, conservation messaging, and tour procedures, guides may be advanced to Lead Guide status and take full responsibility for leading Twilight Tour groups independently.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong public speaker. Customer service oriented. Reliable and on-time. Able to work evenings on weekends. Comfortable working a variety of weather conditions and be able to spend roughly two hours walking through the zoo. Able to remain composed and follow safety procedures in the event of an emergency.
