Job Description

Black Cat Tours is looking for experienced tour guides and/or actors to join our award-winning team! We have openings for our busy September/October/November season. Our Ghostly Night Tour is a fun, spooky glimpse into Salem's unique history. We are looking for guides who can learn to navigate Salem's busy streets in October when tens of thousands of visitors fill the city every week. If you are a person who loves to tell stories and perform for a crowd, and enjoys this busy and exciting time of year, this is the job for you. We run several tours per day, so you will typically work 2 nights tours each night in Friday, Saturdays and Sundays, plus one or two weekday nights. We are also looking for guides who can work daytime tours, but that is not a requirement for every applicant. Each tour pays $80 per tour, plus tips. Tours are typically 90 minutes long. We have been operating in Salem for 13 years, and have been voted Top Ten Ghost Tours in America for six years in a row! Applicants will need to pass a CORI check to be licensed by the City of Salem as a public guide. We will handle all licensing fees. Please be sure to include any experience you have in live performance, live stage theatre, tour guide, etc either in your resume or your cover letter. We can't wait to meet you!
